MU has the latest move as Galatasaray offers double the salary for Bruno Fernandes

Manchester United maintains a strong stance regarding the future of their captain Bruno Fernandes, even though Galatasaray is reportedly set to submit an offer worth approximately £42.7 million, accompanied by wages that could enable the Portuguese midfielder to receive twice his current income.

According to the latest information, Galatasaray is showing special interest in Fernandes. President Dursun Ozbek is reportedly determined to bring the 31-year-old star to Turkey and is ready to present a very attractive compensation package. The expected salary is up to £18.3 million per year. Thanks to Turkey's relatively favorable tax policies, Fernandes's net take-home pay could be double what he currently earns at Old Trafford.

However, Manchester United has no intention of selling their captain. The Red Devils' leadership insists that Fernandes is not a player for sale this summer, and they believe that clubs pursuing him are wasting their time if they think a simple offer can easily persuade the club.

Notably, the £57 million release clause for Fernandes, applicable to foreign clubs, expired last month. In a market where transfer fees are constantly rising, United understands that finding a replacement for a player of Fernandes's influence would be extremely difficult and costly.

Fernandes currently earns around £220,000 per week at Manchester United and has one year remaining on his contract, with an option to extend for an additional season. United had planned to negotiate a new contract with their Portuguese captain, but discussions are still in the preliminary stage. This situation is seen by Galatasaray and several other clubs as a potential opportunity to exploit.

Galatasaray is reportedly also preparing various attractive bonuses to strengthen their offer. Fernandes could receive an additional £1.3 million for each championship won, up to a maximum of £5.1 million. He could also earn a £1.7 million bonus if he becomes the league's top assist provider in his first season, or £1.3 million if he achieves this in his second season. Additionally, there are bonuses related to Galatasaray qualifying for the Champions League and advancing deep into the competition.

Nevertheless, Fernandes has repeatedly expressed his desire to continue with MU. Last season, he set a Premier League record with 21 assists and is currently considered a strong candidate for the PFA Player of the Year award.

During the turbulent period under Ruben Amorim and when MU revived under Michael Carrick, Fernandes maintained his leadership role, kept good relationships with the coaches, and displayed professionalism on the pitch.

Speaking earlier this summer, Fernandes emphasized that he wants to stay at Old Trafford to fulfill his ambition of bringing MU back into the Premier League title race. Therefore, despite the financially attractive offer from Galatasaray, MU is prioritizing keeping their captain.
