0The Vietnam women's team took part in a training session focused on anti-doping awareness and education in the lead-up to the 2026 ASIAD in Japan.
This workshop was designed to provide the squad with necessary anti-doping knowledge, enhance their awareness and accountability in adhering to related rules. As per the agenda, the athletes received instructions on anti-doping education demands and obtained their certification through the ADLE platform.
This is a key aspect of the crucial work in preparing for the 2026 Asian Games, contributing to enabling the players to take initiative in safeguarding their health, adhering to international standards, and upholding a clean, professional sporting image.
The Vietnam women's team is currently based at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center for training from August 7 to 30. In this phase, the squad under coach Hoang Van Phuc plans to play three in-house friendly matches to assess the roster and fine-tune technical strategies. At the beginning of September, they will travel to China for a training camp and two exhibition matches, further honing their readiness for the 2026 Asian Games.
At the morning practice on August 14 at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, midfielder Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy stated that the entire squad is training with great determination, striving to reach their best form ahead of the competition.
“The weather has been quite hot over the past week of training, but we keep pushing each other and motivating to finish the sessions. The coaches and medical team have provided us with vitamins, and we are all working to adjust to the conditions,” Bich Thuy remarked.
The 1994-born midfielder stated that the squad is preserving solidarity and mutual encouragement during practice to adapt to the scorching heat. Bich Thuy further mentioned that the team is eagerly preparing and anticipating the required challenges prior to the competition.
Given the remaining preparation window, the Vietnam women's team will concentrate on further developing their physical condition, tactical expertise, and positional synergy, while accumulating experience via domestic scrimmages and international friendlies. The anti-doping workshop also contributes to heightening the squad's understanding of regulatory adherence, towards a thorough preparation for the 2026 Asian Games.
