Legend Ronaldo Nazario appeared on the opening day of Inter Miami's new stadium, where Lionel Messi shone with an impressive goal.

In MLS Round 6, Inter Miami officially unveiled its new stadium, Nu Stadium, with a total value of approximately $1 billion. Alongside tens of thousands of fans filling the stands, the club's new home also welcomed a special guest.

Specifically, the Brazilian football legend Ronaldo Nazario was present and had a friendly conversation with David Beckham, his former teammate at Real Madrid, now a co-owner of Inter Miami. The appearance of both created a notable highlight on the team's important day in Florida, also showing Ronaldo's interest in his former teammate as well as Lionel Messi's performance alongside the pink-clad players.

Ronaldo Nazario and David Beckham shared time together in Real Madrid's colors from 2003 to 2007, the peak period of the "Galácticos." Over four seasons playing together, both contributed to creating global appeal through the combination of skill and fame. Although they did not win too many titles, they together lifted the 2003 Spanish Super Cup trophy once.

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi continued to add another memorable milestone in his illustrious career, becoming the first player to score for Inter Miami at the new stadium.

This special moment occurred in the 10th minute of the match against Austin, just minutes after the visiting team nearly spoiled the host's stadium debut. Earlier, Guilherme Biro entered history by scoring the opening goal in the 6th minute with a header, becoming the first player to score at this venue.

Nevertheless, Messi quickly brought things back on track by jumping high to meet Ian Fray's cross, executing a precise header to equalize, simultaneously igniting the atmosphere in the stands. This is the Argentine superstar's fifth goal in MLS this season after only six appearances, demonstrating impressive form since the 2026 campaign began.

Ultimately, the two teams drew 2-2. Austin FC once again surged ahead thanks to Jayden Nelson's goal, before Luis Suarez timely scored the equalizer for Inter Miami in the final minutes of the match.
