Hoàng Hên remains silent, Hanoi FC leaves empty-handed against Hai Phong

On April 4th evening, at Lach Tray Stadium, Hai Phong pulled off a surprise by beating Hanoi FC 1-0 in round 17 of the LPBank V-League 2025/26.

The sole goal by Huu Nam helped the Port City team secure all three points, on a day when their disciplined defense locked down and neutralized the attacking threat of Hoàng Hên from the visiting side.

Right after the opening whistle, Hanoi FC proactively pushed their formation high, controlled the game flow, and quickly created notable opportunities. However, Hai Phong's focused defense, led by Nhat Minh, successfully neutralized many dangerous attacking moves.

On the other side, the home team opted for a defensive counter-attacking style. The finishing attempts by Joel Tagueu or Lupeta somewhat shook Van Chuan's goal, but still lacked the necessary precision. In the 30th minute, Hai Phong had a controversial situation when Lupeta fell in the penalty area, but the referee denied the home team a penalty.

In the final minutes of the match, Hanoi FC poured all their strength into attacking to seek an equalizer. However, the excellence of goalkeeper Dinh Trieu and the solid defense of the home team successfully preserved their narrow advantage.

Ultimately, Hai Phong secured a gritty 1-0 victory over Hanoi FC, thereby ending their disappointing streak.
