Vietnam's team lost 2-3 to Thailand's football team.

In the friendly match on March 31 afternoon, the Vietnam futsal national team had a notable test when facing Hong Yen Takam Club in Thailand and narrowly lost 2-3.

Hong Yen Takam is considered a quality opponent for coach Diego Giustozzi and his team, with high professional standards, having won the Thai national futsal championship multiple times.

Right after the opening whistle, both teams entered the game with high speed and created a closely contested match. Both the Vietnam futsal national team and the host representative actively launched attacks, making the first half lively with many opportunities created.

In the 15th minute, the Vietnam futsal team scored the opening goal. Vu Ngoc Anh seized the opportunity well to put his team ahead. However, that advantage did not last long as Hong Yen Takam quickly found an equalizer just 3 minutes later, bringing the match back to the starting point before the first half ended.

Moving into the second half, coach Diego Giustozzi continued to make personnel adjustments to assess his players' form. Among them, goalkeeper Ho Van Y was introduced into the game during the early stage of this half. By the 32nd minute, Hong Yen Takam Club successfully utilized a set-piece situation from a corner kick to advance and lead 2-1.

Not willing to be overshadowed, the Vietnam futsal national team pushed forward their formation to seek an equalizer. The attacking efforts of the red-shirted team paid off in the 36th minute, when Minh Quang successfully finished, balancing the score at 2-2.

It seemed the match would end with a draw, but in the final minutes, the Thai representative unexpectedly increased pressure using the power-play tactic. This approach proved effective as Hong Yen Takam scored another goal, thereby concluding the contest with a 3-2 victory.
